Until 1998 mounted OA Build A/S only steerable axles for Volvo trucks for the Danish market.
That changed dramatically in 1999 when Volvo's rival Scania to supply hydraulic driven bogie axles and gave Volvo rear wheel.
Volvo was under pressure and therefore contacted OA Opbyg A/S if they had a solution. OA Opbyg A/S thereafter developed a hydraulic steerable bogie axle.
Shortly after the trucks started the whole European market that flows from Volvo to OA Build A/S, to get fitted with hydraulic steering bogie axle.
It is Ole Andreasen and his son Michael, who has been around since the early beginnings in 1991 that represents the company.
But OA Opbyg A/S is far from a one man company.
